Winter Haven Opening Weekend

Celebrate the winter season in the natural beauty and serenity of Wave Hill!  From seasonal displays and self-guided activities to special programming and workshops, there’s something for everyone of all ages. And it all begins on the first weekend of December!  

Join us for our annual Artisan Market featuring local artisans and makers. Attend a wreathmaking workshop to make your own stunning, one-of-a-kind decorations. Plus, enjoy music, an ice carving demonstration, Family Art Project and an animal sculpture scavenger hunt. And new this year are guided tours of Wave Hill House, highlighting its seasonal décor and history.  

The gardens will be open late on Saturday, December 7! Stay for sunset and our Bronx Beer Hall and Food Truck Party from 3-8:30pm.

Celebrate the season with family and friends at one of our evening programs throughout December: Family Pajama Party and Winter Solstice Wishes; and a Winter Solstice Walk and Pub Night. Or simply come for a stroll and savor the serene magic of the gardens at night!
