Cathy Deutsch
Cathy Deutsch
Cathy Deutsch has spent over two decades working and designing in public spaces. Her introduction to gardening began as an apprentice under Marco Polo Stufano, and soon thereafter she pursued study at NYBG’s School of Professional Horticulture. With an affinity for trees, she became a certified arborist and worked for the Central Park Conservancy. Cathy later helped manage the early development of Greenwood Gardens, was Director of Horticulture at Stuyvesant Town/Peter Cooper Village and at a private estate in Westchester where she designed with internationally recognized landscape architects and curated complex collection of plants. She is delighted to make her return to Wave Hill as Director of Horticulture and instill the traditions of great gardening that originally inspired her.
