Lucía is a 23-year-old vocalist from Veracruz, México whose singular artistic vision bridges jazz, Latin, and pop music. In 2022, she became the only Latin American singer to win the prestigious Sarah Vaughan Vocal Jazz Competition. The child of a celebrated Mexican musical family, Lucía began her musical career at the age of two, singing and dancing in her parent's son jarocho band, Son de Madera. Since then, she has collaborated and performed with leading artists such as Natalia Lafourcade, La Santa Cecilia, Quetzal and the National Jazz Orchestra of Mexico, and she has performed on stages around the world, including Jazz at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Vancouver Folk Festival, and Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris in Mexico City. Since the release of her debut, self-titled album in May 2025, Lucía had been touring across Europe and the Americas, presenting her unique approach to her songbook to the world. The combination of traditional American jazz with the warmth of Latin folk remains at the core of her identity.

In the event of inclement weather, this event will move inside to Wave Hill House. Pre-registered tickets to the “Rain or Shine” option receive priority seating, and same-day registration is not guaranteed. Pre-registration to the “Shine only” option does not guarantee seating to the event if moved indoors. 

Premium admission is in effect from 4PM to 8PM each Sunset Wednesday. Passes and discounts, including guest passes, Culture Pass, AHS, etc., will not be accepted starting at 4PM. Member-for-a-Day passes are accepted. 

Sunset Wednesdays take place on the Great Lawn. Visitors may bring folding chairs and blankets. Picnicking is permitted. Glyndor Gallery, The Café and Shop are open until 7:30PM.
