Meet at Perkins Visitor Center
The color green has many faces, like a 100-sided die. We will talk about green, the textures of lovely shade plants and some combinations favored by the gardeners of Wave Hill. Many of our foliage plants are shade-loving so we will be sticking to shaded garden areas whenever possible.
Rain date: Wed, July 17. Severe weather cancels.
Advance registration encouraged, online or by calling 718.549.3200 x251. Day-of registration based on availability and not guaranteed.

About the Plantwise Walk Series:
A series led by Jess Brey, Wave Hill’s Senior Horticultural Interpreter, each “walk and talk” will focus on a specific group of plants, encouraging a deeper relationship with some of the special plants that grow at Wave Hill. Topics explored may be nomenclature, ethnobotany, history and plant culture, such as pruning, germination and propagation. As the series title indicates, this is a program for the curious; adult participants with some plant knowledge will get the most out of these programs.
Walks follow a variety of routes along mixed-material pathways and varying elevations.
