Just as with honeybees, the diversity of native bees is also vital to our pollinator pathways. Learn about solitary bees and ground nests, and how they differ from those honeybees and their hives. During Q&A, ask native plants enthusiast and naturalist Pam Golben what you can you do to support and protect them. Appropriate for adults and children ages 12 and up with an adult companion. Space is limited. Bees, Butterflies & Blooms Weekend event.

Registration is not required. Bees, Butterflies & Blooms Weekend is a premium-admission weekend, with a $2 surcharge per visitor; there is no admission charge for children under six.

Wave Hill House is accessible to all our visitors. The building is located along a paved route with moderate changes in grade. The Toscanini Room is located on the second floor of Wave Hill House; an elevator is available.

    Pam Golben

    Pam Golben is a seasoned naturalist. Currently focusing on native plants, she owns and operates Golben Farms, a native plant nursery in upstate New York. Pam is also a beekeeper and candlemaker, a NYS-licensed wildlife rehabilitator and environmental educator. In addition, she has a BS in Veterinary Science and Environmental Science-Organismal Biology, and was the Director of the Wildlife Center at The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum in Cornwall, New York for 15 years.
