Flower Garden; Rain Location: Wave Hill House

Exuberant flowering annuals have always been a mainstay of Wave Hill’s gardening palette. Pot up seedlings of iconic, easy-to-grow flowers featured in our Flower Garden and bring a bit of Wave Hill home. Learn some Wave Hill garden history, including the story of the “$16.30 Garden” planted by Marco Polo Stufano and John Nally in 1982, which set the stage for the Flower Garden that we know today.
Registration is not required. Questions? Please email us at information@wavehill.org or call 718.549.3200 x251
This event takes place on a flat grassy area accessible via flat, paved paths that run along the edge of the Great Lawn. This station is fully accessible in good weather. Rain moves the program inside Wave Hill House. Wave Hill House is wheelchair-accessible. There is an accessible, ground-level entrance at the front of the building with a power-assist door. The restroom on the ground level is all-gender and ADA-compliant. Additional ADA-compliant restrooms are available on the lower level, which can be accessed by elevator.
