Family Art Project: A Growing Season

As spring blooms around us, it's time for green things to grow! Inspired by Earth Day and the many plants emerging at this time of year, create a pot using upcycled cardboard boxes. Then, decorate your pot, add some soil and you'll be ready to plant a seed.
At 11:30am families can enjoy a storytime program in the Gund Theater, all ages welcome. We will be celebrating Earth Day with a reading of the book A Seed Grows by Antoinette Portis.
And get ready to power up this Earth Day Weekend! Join us at our interactive Renewable Energy Station, where families can explore the magic of clean energy through hands-on fun. Spin colorful pinwheels, light up LEDs with mini solar panels, and see how everyday objects can teach us big ideas about powering our world sustainably. Our ACES interns will be your guides, sharing facts and connecting these fun experiments to real-world energy systems. Perfect for curious minds of all ages!
Registration not required.
Wave Hill House is wheelchair-accessible. There is an accessible, ground-level entrance at the front of the building with a power-assist door. The restroom on the ground level is all-gender and ADA-compliant. Additional ADA-compliant restrooms are available on the lower level, which can be accessed by elevator.
