Enjoy colorful foliage at its seasonal peak. Senior Horticultural Interpreter Jess Brey shares some of her favorite trees and shrubs in their vibrant fall finery. Registration is not required for this drop-in event. Fall Foliage Walks are most appropriate for adults or young adults. Fall Foliage Fest event. Wave Hill is indeed on a hill, so it’s not possible to see the entire garden without navigating some inclines. This walk, however, will follow paved pathways and avoid steps. The route may include some changes in grade that may be difficult to navigate without assistance.

    Jess Brey is Wave Hill’s Ruth Rea Howell Senior Horticultural Interpreter. She leads seasonal walks, develops programs and writes, and provides images for, the monthly “In the Garden Now” email—and journal entry at wavehill.org—highlighting the garden’s unique collection, design and history. Jess has an MPS in Horticulture specializing in Public Garden Leadership from Cornell University.
