This Pride, we’re bringing you Fabulosity – a spectacular Waacking battle where self-expression, empowerment, and fierce competition take center stage!

Waacking, a vibrant and expressive dance style born in the LGBTQ+ clubs of 1970s Los Angeles, is a dazzling display of musicality, storytelling, and personal style. Rooted in resistance, self-love, and unapologetic expression, Waacking is a dance form that continues to inspire and unite communities across the globe.

Witness an all-star showdown as some of the finest Waackers from New York and beyond battle it out in an electrifying competition. Hosted by the Queen of Waacking, Princess Lockerooo, and featuring the incredible Jada Valenciaga, one of NYC’s most celebrated drag performers.

This event promises to be more than just a show! Get ready to cheer, dance, and even learn some moves yourself in this celebration of Pride, art, and culture.

Dress to impress — because in Waacking, there’s no such thing as too many rhinestones!

In the event of inclement weather, this event will move inside to Wave Hill House. Pre-registered tickets to the “Rain or Shine” option receive priority seating and same-day registration not guaranteed. Pre-registration to the “Shine only” option does not guarantee seating to the event if moved indoors.

Princess Lockerooo

Princess Lockerooo is a multi-talented performer, curator, educator and activist, with a 14-year tenure in the dance and entertainment industries. She is the founder of Waack to the Future, an international dance festival and competition that celebrates creativity, self-empowerment, and gender equality, while preserving Waacking, a street dance style started in Los Angeles gay clubs during the 1970s disco era. Princess Lockerooo’s productions have featured across the world, including at Lincoln Center, Summerstage, Women's Entrepreneurship Day, SAP Next-Gen, and New York City Pride. As a protégé of Soul Train legend Tyrone Proctor, and mentee of Jody Watley, Princess Lockerooo continues to carry the torch for the global resurgence of Waacking. A waacking specialist herself, she has shared her unique insight in collaborations with Madonna, Icona Pop, Jody Watley and more.

Jada Valenciaga

Jada has been a part of some of the most well-known drag shows in NYC including, Hot Mess with Lady Bunny and Bianca Del Rio, QUEEN at Industry, and various other Voss Events projects. Jada can be seen in TV shows and movies such as Shade: Queens of NYC and Wig on HBO. Other stagecredits include: Francois & the Rebels (The Public), Paradise Ballroom (New York Stage and Film), and Righteous.Crisis.Dionysos (La Mama). Jada Valenciaga currently runs the Broadway drag revue, Curtains Up on Tuesday nights at The Monster Bar.

Karma Stylz

Karma Stylz is a NYC-based choreographer, DJ, visual artist, Yoga Instructor, and founder of Vogue Essentials NYC, a community organization that fuses movement and mental health through Vogue dance. With choreography credits across POSE TV Series, HBO's Legendary, The Get Down, and more. Karma has worked with icons like Madonna, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, his talent spans TV, Film, and Off-Broadway productions. A trailblazer in the NY ballroom scene for who comes from great historical legacy: the House of UltraOmni, House of Ninja, and House of Oricci! Karma continues to push boundaries, blending creativity, wellness, and self empowerment through the art of Vogue. His work is an invitation to embrace movement as a path to self-expression and mental well-being no matter your circumstance.
