Tour the outdoor event and exhibition space adjacent to Glyndor Gallery with Director of Horticulture Cathy Deutsch. After a thoughtful renovation, the terrace outside of this Georgian revival mansion recently re-opened with enhanced universal access and pedestrian circulation as part of the overall garden master plan. See how new pathways, ramps and hardscape are incorporated into the original design while careful attention was given to preserve mature and historic plants.

Ages 10 and older welcome with an adult. Tickets required for all participants.

The Glyndor Terrace Garden is accessible via a bluestone path that begins south of the Glyndor House entrance and continues along its western perimeter towards an ADA-compliant ramp located at the Glyndor Terrace Garden’s north entrance.

    Wave Hill Director of Horticulture

    Cathy Deutsch

    Cathy Deutsch has been Wave Hill’s Director of Horticulture since 2021 and has more than two decades working and designing in public spaces from Central Park Conservancy to Greenwood Gardens. Her introduction to gardening began as an apprentice under Marco Polo Stufano, and soon thereafter she pursued study at NYBG’s School of Professional Horticulture. Having come full circle, Cathy is currently undertaking ambitious projects that will usher Wave Hill’s gardens to improved accessibility and greater resiliency to climate change. She is proud to instill the traditions of great gardening that originally inspired her and further Wave Hill’s undeniable impact on the garden community.
