Art Workshop Series: Photography and Memory
- Virtual
While many use photography as a diary to document experiences, this series focuses on memory and how photography of the present can be used to elicit feelings or ideas of the past. Can a visual record of something “outside”—whether literally outside in the landscape or just outside the mind on a table or shelf—evoke internal states of being? Join photographer Benjamin Swett for a lecture sampling and peer review. Students are encouraged to supplement their photography with collage, writing, drawing, video, watercolor or other media.
Registration required, online or at 718.549.3200 x251, and closes at 10AM on Tuesday, April 6. If you register, the day before the event you will receive a follow-up email with a secure and private link to this virtual event. Questions?
