Wave Hill's collection of high-altitude and small, choice rock garden plants is viewed from outside of the T.H. Everett Alpine House. The miniature, gem-like flowers are at their peak in late winter and early spring. Along the terrace, handmade cement troughs filled with specimen alpine plants bloom throughout the growing season. Hardy alpines planted within the cracks of a rustic stone retaining wall create a vertical garden of flowers and foliage at eye-level.
